You know Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time. But if your club's service project or your own enthusiams inspires someone to want to know more, are you prepared to answer their questions?
Here's the place to find the answers and learn new ways to succeed in both fundraising and service
Service and Fundraising
When it comes to service projects, Kiwanis members are devoted. Each year, they devote more than 6 million hours to service projects—and their choices are as creative as they are varied. These service projects are popular because they work, they raise awareness, and they’re fun.
How many ways can one person be asked to support a cause? E-mail, IM, widget, Twitter, event, colleague, direct mail, donation box … Though it may seem easier to rely on tried-and-true members, the most successful clubs are looking outside their ranks for financial support and holding fundraisers designed to attract not only dollars, but media awareness, too.
This approach helps raise the funds you need to conduct life-changing service projects and is one of the most effective ways to interest others in your club.
Service is at the heart of every Kiwanis International club, no matter where in the world it’s located. Each year Kiwanis members stage nearly 150,000 service projects, devote more than 18.5 million hours of service and raise nearly US$100 million for communities, families and projects.
